Chief David Dowling and the Schererville Board of Safety are pleased to announce that the Schererville Police Department will host a Women’s Self Defense class on Monday November 21st, 2016 from 6pm to 9pm. The location of this event will be at the Schererville Community Center (500 E. Joliet St.)
The first segment of the class will be in a classroom setting. For the latter part of the class, participants will be asked to perform defensive movements on a wrestling mat in the police department’s exercise room, so please dress appropriately.
Participants must be 18 years of age. Those interested can pick up an application from the records department between 8am and 5pm Monday through Friday. Deadline for applications will be November 18th, 2016 at 5pm.
