In their efforts to solve issues that arose in the installation of drainage improvements at the US 30 underpass, INDOT and the contractor will be doing some exploratory excavations under the viaduct. These are scheduled for Halloween Tuesday, the 31st beginning in the morning and continuing until completed. They will be beginning in the EB passing lane, then moving to the WB passing lane, then the EB drive lane and finishing in the WB drive lane. Traffic will be restricted to one lane when the work is underway. Please use alternate routing whenever possible and expect delays if you must travel through the work zone.
10/31/17 Update from INDOT on US 30 Underpass:
There is now 2 more days of work scheduled, tomorrow (11/1) and Thursday (11/2). The work on 11/1 will be done on the right hand drive lane in both directions. Work on Thursday will be in the left hand (passing) lanes.
