Community Center
The Schererville Community Center is located at 500 E. Joliet Street, Schererville, IN. The entrance is off of Scherwood Greens Drive. This multipurpose facility is not only for the benefit of our residents, but for all surrounding communities. This building is home to the Park Department’s Office and is the heart of Recreation Programs for all ages – from Camps, to Painting, to Fitness Classes, to Community Events. This 12,500 square foot facility is available to rent and is the perfect setting for all of your events from intimate workshops of 10 to large gatherings for 285.
Several different rooms are available to rent:
| Cardio Room |
Taraflex flooring, which provides comfort and safety. Occupancy is 34. |
| Room A |
Multipurpose room equipped with sink, refrigerator, microwave, countertop, and access to covered patio. Occupancy is 55. |
| Room B |
Multipurpose room with access to covered patio. Occupancy is 103. |
| Room C |
Multipurpose room with access to covered patio. Includes adjacent full kitchen with stovetop, two ovens, microwave, sink, ice machine, and refrigerator. If requested, kitchen can be partitioned off from rest of room. Occupancy is 101. |
| Full Community Room |
All of the above amenities of Rooms A, B, and C, including kitchen. Occupancy is 285. |
