Lost a pet?

In the unfortunate event that one of your beloved pets goes missing, the most important thing is to get in touch with us in some way so we can try to help.

Here are a few ways to contact us so we can help find your pet and return them home:

• Give the shelter call at 219-865-6992.
   
• Contact the Schererville Police Department at 219-322-5000. 
   
• Message us via email at ac@schererville.org
   
• When you contact us, please give us a brief description of your pet. If you reach out via email or social media, include a photo as well if possible. Additionally, please let us know the general area where your pet went missing (cross-streets, Town, subdivision, etc...).

Found A Pet?

In the event that you found a pet or stray animal, there are a few pieces of information we need to know when you contact us.

• Did you find the animal in Schererville? If so, please use the below information to contact us. If not, you will need to contact a shelter or Animal Control operating in the Town where you found the animal.
