From September 13 - September 22, 7am-5pm each day, the Schererville Public Works town dump, branch drop off areas, and sections of the Pennsy Trail running behind Public Works will be closed to the public. During this time period, heavy machinery will be grinding/mulching branches and other debris in the branch drop off area. Due to the risk of wood fragments splintering, shattering, and scattering, this closure was deemed prudent for safety reasons.
Barricades and signage will be set up to remind residents if they attempt to visit the dump or drop off refuse while this work is being carried out.
