Scherwood Park, just off of Joliet Street, occupies 9.5 acres of land. The Parks Department office, the Community Center, is located there. Additionally there is a paved walking trail, an outdoor chess plaza, shelters, a nature area, picnic areas, and the historic Hilbrich Log Cabin. Plenty of open spaced field is available for activities.
