Upcoming Roadwork on Main St.:
Where: Main Street, west of US 41, east of Prairie Ave. in Highland
When: Thursday Oct. 25th, starting approx. 7am
Why: NIPSCO Service Line Retirement
The work is scheduled for Thursday the 25th beginning around 7 AM. Traffic control is scheduled to be set up and in place by 7:30 AM. The project location is just a few feet east of Highland’s Prairie Avenue on Main Street.
The gas main is located under the dashed white line separating the 2 eastbound lanes. In order to keep traffic open in both directions, only 1 lane will be open in each direction.
Westbound traffic will be diverted to the northernmost lane and eastbound traffic will be diverted over the double yellow lines and partially into the westbound passing lane.
Please seek alternative routes when travelling if possible as traffic will be congested.
