Notice of Road Closure
Where: Junction Ave. & Kennedy Ave. from Joliet St. to Division St.
When: Thursday June 2, 2022 (Weather Permitting)
Purpose: Railroad Crossing Repairs
The railroad crossing at Junction Ave. is scheduled to be removed Thursday June 2, 2022. Canadian National Railroad, in conjunction with the Town of Schererville, will be performing the necessary work to remove the tracks and pave the roadway. The road will be closed during the day from 7am to 4pm.
Local traffic east of the railroad tracks will have access from Joliet St. Local traffic west of the railroad tracks will have access from Kennedy Ave. The road closure is scheduled to start Thursday June 2, 2022 at 7am and last until 4pm. Utilizing alternate roadways is encouraged during this infrastructure improvement.
All traffic is encouraged to plan ahead in using alternate roadways to avoid the work zone and closure areas whenever possible.
