Update: Road is now open to traffic. Use caution as the road is now temporarily filled with gravel. Road will be paved tomorrow, 8/14/18, during school hours in an attempt to impact traffic flow as little as possible.

Notice of Road Closure
Where: 77th Avenue from DIvac/Naples Dr. to Grimmer Middle School
When: Tuesday August 7, 2018 through Monday August 13, 2018
Why: Storm Water Culvert Replacement
77th Avenue will be closed to ALL traffic (including emergency response vehicles) between Divac/Naples Drive(s) and Grimmer/Watson schools beginning Tuesday August 7, 2018. The Storm Water culvert running under the street just east of the schools parking lot is slated for replacement. The roadway will be "hard blocked" just west of Divac/Naples Drive(s) and just east of the easternmost Grimmer/Watson School entrance.
Local traffic will be able to access their residential streets up to those locations. Detour routes are Austin Avenue to the east and Lincolnwood/Alexander to the west to access US Route 30 to go around the closure. "Road Closed Ahead" and "Detour Route" signs will be posted at Austin Avenue and Lincolnwood/Alexander in an effort to keep traffic from unnecessarily cutting through the residential subdivisions.
All traffic is advised to plan ahead in seeking an alternate route around the construction zone.
