Please be advised that a construction project has been scheduled to resume on Cline Ave on Monday morning, April 8, once Peifer School traffic clears the morning rush period. They will begin where they left off last Tuesday about 600’ north of 75th Avenue in front of Campagna Academy. Northbound lane of Cline Ave will be closed, diverting NB traffic into the center turn lane thus closing the center lane to southbound traffic. Traffic cones will be used to separate the lanes and signage will be in place to direct motorists accordingly. Construction crews will pull off of the roadway in time for the Peifer School afternoon rush; once afternoon school traffic clears, they have the option of returning back onto the roadway and work into the evening hours. They will work their way north toward Joliet street until this segment of the project is completed. They expect to be able to complete about 500 feet per day.
On Tuesday, April 9, a second crew will begin working on the segment running from Joliet Street north to Division Street then east on Division into Griffith. This crew will also be occupying the northbound lane of Cline and will be employing flaggers to route traffic around the work zone. Again, signage and channelizing devices will be in place.
