How Do I

If you would like to request a building inspection, please call the Schererville Planning and Building Department and they will be able to help you get an inspection set up.

Please, do not rely on having left a voicemail to have an inspection setup. This has occasionally produced problems in the past with communication. Our staff may also be very busy and not have time to go through all their voicemail’s.

Additionally, please be aware that when you are calling to request an inspection, it will be normally be setup for the next day (barring weekends). Our inspectors typically have their whole day planned out at least one day in advance to conduct their work.
