2023 Annual Licenses are able to be renewed starting on January 3, 2023 and owners are considered late beginning March 31, 2023.
You must register in person at the Schererville Police Department (25 East Joliet Street). Hours of operation are Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm.
Town of Schererville Ordinance #1549 limits residents to owning no more than five (5) dogs and/or cats.
Bring proof of shot records and proof of spaying/neutering. The Police Department does not keep these records on file. A $10.00 Late Fee per pet will be charged after the renewal period ends. For questions call (219) 322-5000.
