Roads in Schererville used to look like this. The high chassis of the Model T helps it navigate through the mud.

There was a single stoplight above the intersection. Additionally, the building in the distance is where White Castle currently stands.
This was an old diner. It was located where Aurelio's now stands.
This was situated at the corner of US 30 and Austin Avenue where the ice cream shop is today!
Pete Redar is in the drivers seat and Louie Meyer is standing. The barrels on the ground contain tar, which would be used on the unpaved roads.

At one point Old Lincoln Highway had an underpass (near where the Erie Lackawanna Trail is now) that flooded badly. This school bus got caught in it. Everyone made it out safely.

At one point, prior to their destruction, these buildings housed the Fire Department, Police Department, and Schererville Town Hall. The site is where the current Police Station is.
Prior to the recent construction, the Police Station was situated next to a field with railroad tracks going through it.
Popular Amusement Park that was once located near Stracks. Kiddieland was around for over 40 years.
Kiddieland had several trains running through or around it. This is just one example.
