- You must be 18 years of age at the time of applying for a permit.
- You must be a Schererville resident with proof of residency (Driver’s License, State I.D. or current Utility Bill)
- Complete the online application at http://www.in.gov/isp/
- Once you complete the application you will receive directions on how to schedule electronic fingerprinting at a Morpho Trust facility, how to pay the State fee and, how to pay the fingerprinting fee.
- Once the application has been submitted and the fingerprinting is complete, bring proof of residency, the local fee (see below) and the receipt provided by Morpho Trust, to the Schererville Police Department Monday thru Friday between 8am and 5pm (Excluding Holidays).
