The Schererville Police Department will be holding an "Active Shooter: How To Respond" meeting at the next Neighborhood Watch Meeting on Monday May 9th at 7pm at the Town Court, 25 E. Joliet St.
The meeting includes crime statistics, updates, and the presentation on active shooter awareness & how to respond.
The presentation includes information about how to respond and protect yourself in the event a situation occurs while you are dining, working, or shopping. It also includes additional safety considerations.
Participants can also raise any concerns or questions they have with police representatives during or following the meeting. A gift card will be awarded as a door prize at the conclusion of the meeting.
