How does Parking work? Where can I park? Is parking free?
-Parking is FREE. Signs will be posted as to where you can/can’t park. The Town of Schererville is NOT responsible if your car is towed. *Some parking is a couple blocks away from the park. This event is expected to be HUGE, and we are doing the best we can to accommodate parking needs!
Can I bring alcohol to this event?
-Alcohol is prohibited from this event EXCEPT purchased and consumed in the Family Beer Garden. Region Ale will have all of your tasty drink needs! ALCOHOL MUST STAY IN BEER GARDEN AREA
Where will the POKEMON Character Meet & Greet be at?
-The Pikachu, Squirtle, Charmander, Bulbasaur, and Psyduck will be held under the BLUE Parks tent, next to the RED parks tent. LOCATED NEAR BASKETBALL COURTS. The character meet & greet will be from 6:30pm-7:30pm. There will be staff to direct the line.
What is the Photo Booth?
-The photo booth is an exciting new addition to our Party in the Park series! It’s a photo booth that spins around you while taking your photo/video with music! Plus it will be downloaded straight to your smart phone! & IT’S FREE!!
What’s the details on the Pokémon Card Giveaway?
-a special edition Pikachu Pokémon Card will be available to all Pokémon Masters at the Schererville Parks Tent! Limited quantities available, only 1 per person.
What’s the details on the Pokémon Go Gym Tournament?
-The Pokémon Go Gym Tournament will begin at 5pm and ends at 8:30pm. The Pokémon Go Trainers that have control of the “Pennsy Greenway Trail at Redar Park” Gym will each win a special prize. Winners will be announced right before the movie begins and must be present to claim prize. It’s completely free!
What’s the details on the Pokémon Costume Contest Raffle?
-All ages are invited to dress up as their favorite Pokémon themed characters; From Team Rocket to Ash Ketchum to event Pikachu. Participants will register at the Schererville Parks info tent located near the basketball courts. All Participants will receive a participation prize from McDonald’s and their entry placed in a raffle drawing. The raffle will be drawn before the movie begins and winner will receive a special Pokémon Prize!
What this Pokémon Guinness World Record Attempt?
-Schererville Parks applied to be the FIRST to attempt a record on the most people singing the Pokémon Theme Song! This will go down at 8pm right before the Poke Rap singalong! We encourage all families young and old to grab a seat and help us BREAK and CREATE this record! The song will be displayed on the big movie screen for assistance.
Who’s the band? When do they perform?
-Chronic Flannel is the band and they perform at 5:30pm- 8:30pm! Chronic Flannel is a live band covering the best hip-hop, rock, pop, r&b, reggae, and funk for Generation X and beyond. Get ready to ROCK YOUR SOCKS OFF!!
What is KIDS KORNER? How much is Kids Korner? What is included?
-Kids Korner is something new we have added to our events this year! At each event, your child will be able to play the following for the entire event, 4-5 hours for the prices below!!

Details: Wristbands can be picked up at the RED Schererville Parks tent. Account holder (must be present) with PHOTO ID. Kids Korner is NOT a drop off event. Parents are responsible for their children. Kids Korner ages is 4-13. WRISTBANDS are NOT transferrable. ALL SALES ARE FINAL, NO REFUNDS.
What’s the deal with the Beer Garden?
-Region Ale will be hosting our FAMILY BEER GARDEN. Everyone is permitted in the BEER GARDEN, 21 and over only allowed in the Beer PURSCHASE/SERVING AREA. Please ensure alcohol stays inside the beer garden!!
