The Schererville Police Department will be hosting its fourteenth summer “Cop Camp” for kids ages 10-13. There is no fee for the camp which will run from Tuesday July 25th through July 28th from 10am – 1:00pm with lunch and snacks provided.
The “Campers” will have the opportunity to tour the police station, meet with officers and get hands on training in collection of evidence, firearms through a big video game device, as well as, seeing a K-9 and swat demonstration.
The camp application process will start on Monday June 19th, 2023. This camp will be offered to our Schererville children who complete and return the application prior to Friday July 14th, 2023 at 5pm.
Please understand that this camp fills up quickly and is on a first come, first serve basis. Class size must have at least 6 but not to exceed 20 enrolled campers. FIRST CONSIDERATION IS GIVEN TO KIDS WHO HAVE NEVER PARTICIPATED IN OUR SUMMER COP CAMP.
