2017 Schererville PD CALEA On-Site Assessment

Schererville PD will be holding an open session for the public to comment on the Departments adherence to CALEA standards.

The Schererville Police Department is scheduled for an on-site assessment as part of a program to achieve accreditation by verifying that they meet professional standards.
Administered by the Commission for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA), the accreditation program requires agencies to comply with state of the art standards in four basic areas; policy and procedures, administration, operations and support services.
Department employees and the public are invited to offer comments by calling (219) 515-2324 on Monday, April 3rd, 2017 between the hours of 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm. Comments will be taken by the Assessment Team. As part of the on-site assessment, department employees and members of the community are also invited to offer comments at a public information session Tuesday April 4th, 2017 at 7:00 pm.
The session will be conducted in the Schererville Town Hall located at 10 E. Joliet St. Schererville Indiana 46375. Telephone comments, as well as, appearances at the public information session are limited to 10 minutes and must address the department’s ability to comply with CALEA’s standards.
