2021 Police Appreciation Day Parade Route Information

September 23rd, 2021 is Police Appreciation Day. In a show of support for local law enforcement agencies, a parade is scheduled to take place at 6:30pm on the 23rd. This parade includes Police & Fire vehicles, motorcycles, rescue vehicles, antique vehicles, and decorated vehicles. 

The parade starts at Lake Central High School in St. John at approximately 6:30pm. The parade will first travel north on US Highway 41 before turning east onto US Highway 30. From there, the parade moves towards Cline Avenue where it will turn north before heading east onto Jolie Street. Once on Joliet Street, the parade will conclude at the Halls of St. George at approximately 7pm. 

Ceremonies are scheduled to start at the Halls of St. George at 7pm. This is a free, family friendly event with food and drinks available for purchase. Live entertainment is provided by the Nick Danger band and the Nate Venturelli Band. 

Residents are encouraged to line the parade route with flags and signs supporting law enforcement. We hope to see you there showing your support!
