Due to its overwhelming success, the Schererville Police Department will be hosting its eighth summer “Cop Camp” for middle school kids ages 10-13. There is no fee for the camp which will run from Monday July 30th through August 2nd from 10am – 1:00pm with lunch and snacks provided.
The “Campers” will have the opportunity to tour the police station, meet with officers and get hands on training in collection of evidence, firearms through a big video game device, as well as, seeing a K-9 and swat demonstration.
The camp application process will start on Monday June 11th will be offered to Schererville residents ONLY who complete and return the application prior to Friday July 13th, 2018 at 5pm. Class size is limited with a minimum of 6. Please understand that this camp fills up quickly and is on a first come first serve basis. Class size cannot exceed 20 enrolled campers.
